Manicure & Pedicure inc Luxury Treatments Training Course
Manicure & Pedicure treatments are fundamental skills for any nail technician. It is essential to know how to work safely & hygienically to improve the condition and appearance of the skin / nails of both the hands and the feet. This course makes a great introductory course before progressing onto more advanced nail treatments, but also teaches you to provide standalone treatments which are popular all year round.
You will learn the following on this course, through pre-course reading (e-Manual) and hands-on practical training at the centre:
- Health & Safety around nail treatments.
- Anatomy & physiology of the skin & nails.
- Consultation procedure & contra-indications to these treatments.
- Procedure for a standard manicure & pedicure.
- Luxury aspects including use of heated mitts / booties with mask & paraffin wax.

I thoroughly enjoyed this course. Jess was amazing, down to earth and really easy to talk to. She made us all feel at ease and relaxed, which made the learning so much easier. It was easy to see how much knowledge and experience that Jess has and she was very helpful with answering all of my questions. I can’t wait for my other courses, as I know Jess will be teaching me again. I would 100% recommend the beauty academy.

I recently completed a Manicure & Pedicure training course with Katy, and I must say it was an excellent experience. Katy’s expertise and passion for nail care made the course engaging and informative.
Throughout the training, Katy emphasised the importance of health and safety in nail treatments. She provided in-depth knowledge on maintaining a clean and hygienic workspace, ensuring the well-being of both the client and the technician.
Katy’s extensive knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the skin and nails was evident as she explained the different structures and their functions. This understanding greatly enhanced our ability to assess and address various nail concerns.
During the course, Katy guided us through the consultation procedure, teaching us how to gather relevant information and identify any contra-indications to the treatments. Her attention to detail and emphasis on client consultation equipped us with the skills to customise treatments according to individual needs.
The hands-on training for standard manicure and pedicure procedures was invaluable. Katy demonstrated each step with precision, and then provided us with the opportunity to practise under her guidance. She was patient and encouraging, ensuring we mastered each technique.
One of the highlights of the course was learning about luxury aspects, such as the use of heated mitts/booties and paraffin wax. Katy taught us their benefits and how to incorporate them into our services to elevate the overall experience for our clients.
Overall, I am extremely grateful for Katy’s expertise and guidance throughout the Manicure & Pedicure training course. Her passion for nail care and dedication to our success as nail technicians was evident in every aspect of the training. I highly recommend Katy as a trainer for anyone looking to enhance their skills and knowledge in the field of nail care.

I signed up for the one day course at the Manchester Beauty Academy. Being more advanced in my years, I was a bit apprehensive, but I needn’t have worried. Karen was an excellent tutor and made all of us feel at home. We made the most of her extensive knowledge gained from years of working in the industry. Karen was encouraging and reassuring. All products were provided for our use and we gained a detailed knowledge of their application and what techniques are required to successfully complete the treatments. I think I can safely say that all of us had a great learning experience with plenty of laughs along the way. the venue was easy to get to being close to Piccadilly station. I would wholeheartedly recommend this course to anyone considering taking the leap into the beauty profession at what ever level and for whatever reason.

I have to say, I have completed a number of courses with the beauty academy but this one I was most worried about my attention span or interest in feet. Alexia was incredible. Approachable, full of knowledge and moved at a great pace. Within the first session I quickly understood its just part of the job and I can do this. I am so grateful to have trained with Alexia and would encourage anyone else who is considering to do this course – to book! I hope to see you again and thank you for your time Alexia.

I had a lot of fun to be honest. The tutor was amazing and rest helpful, I was anxious at first but I was made to feel very welcome and understood what to do. Aswell as learning everything for manicure and pedicure I was given lots more information about gel and acrylics upon asking questions. 10/10

I’m on the vtct course and this was my first practical class. Karen is so nice and very clear when explaining things, and was more than happy to go back over anything when asked. She also gave great knowledge and information outside of the actual mani pedi information, such as good places to get products etc. she was just so sweet and lovely and experienced. also the atmosphere was so nice, everyone got on so well. Genuinely such a lovely day, I can’t wait for my next practical class, and I never thought I’d say it….but I cannot wait to get a hold of someone’s feet and get practicing!

I recently did the Manicure, Pedicure, and Luxury Treatment course at the Beauty Academy in Clapham, and it was such a great experience! The course was super informative, hands-on, and really helped boost my confidence with both basic and luxury treatments.
Tutor Chris was absolutely amazing – so friendly, knowledgeable, and really made sure everyone felt comfortable and supported. You can tell she genuinely cares about her students and wants them to succeed.
I’d definitely recommend this course to anyone looking to get into nails or just improve their skills. Big thanks to Chris and the team for such a fun and valuable training day!
