We are the sole owner of the information collected on this site and through our communications with you. The Beauty Academy collects information from our users at several different points on our website and the information being gathered is specified upon each form. We also may gather or verify information with you when communicating with you by telephone, email, using the Live Chat option on our website or when accessing our Student Portal website.
The information we collect from you when enquiring, booking a course and/or processing your order or providing access to our Student Portal website (dependent on course), or as part of an online service such as a form submitted by you on our website(s) is exclusively for use by The Beauty Academy. This list is not exhaustive but may for example include your email address, contact telephone number, date of birth, home address, first and last names and information relating to any courses or education you have previously attained or completed.
We require this information to understand your needs and provide a better service to you. We require this information for reasons such as; to contact you at your request or as part of delivering a service you have paid to receive; periodically send you promotional information about new courses/products, events, offers, updates or information which we think you may find interesting or require to know. We will also use your data as part of internal record keeping.

For a user who places an online order, we request personal information on the order form used in the shopping cart. This information is used for billing purposes and to fill the customer’s order. If we have trouble processing an order, we will use this information to contact the customer.
Credit card transactions are processed using our own internet merchant account and authorised via a third party payment gateway system. The payment gateway is an authority in trusted modular payment solutions and security systems on the internet.
We do gather non-personal data regarding site visitors (both website and Student Portal website). This is provided to use statistical information on visits to pages, type of browsers being used to view the sites, paths taken through the sites and other general information. This information is not linked to a particular person.

You may choose to restrict the collection or use of your personal information by contacting us at [email protected] – please note this may mean we are unable to deliver some or all of our services to you, for which no reimbursement can be made where a course fee has already been paid.
We use third party shipping companies e.g. Royal Mail, UPS etc. to ship orders of physical products such as starter kits. We also use third party suppliers of products such as starter kits which supply products direct to our customers. Information may be provided to these companies only with the express purpose of being able to directly supply your ordered product/service to you. These companies do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes.
Upon booking a course, we will process your enrolment and you will be automatically added to our email mailing list to ensure we are able to deliver the best level of service and communication to you. Mailing list based marketing communications will be relevant and not excessive.
However, should you not wish to be added to the mailing list, please let us know at the time of enrolment. Alternatively you have the option to unsubscribe at any time, an ‘unsubscribe’ option will appear at the bottom of every email newsletter sent which once clicked will immediately remove you from the mailing list and from receiving any further marketing email communications.
You will still receive notifications by email in relation to any current course enrolment to include booking confirmations and updates related directly to that course. To change your communication preferences, simply contact us at any time.
In addition to these safeguards, your personal data is protected by the Data Protection Act. This provides amongst other things that the data we hold about you should be processed lawfully and fairly. It should be accurate, relevant and not excessive. The information should be kept up to date, where necessary, and not retained for longer than is necessary. It should be kept securely to prevent unauthorised access by other people. You also retain the right to request access to any information held by you to check its accuracy, request amendments to the information where you believe they may be inaccuracies, or for the removal of the information from our system or moving of the information to an alternative source/location. The Beauty Academy take every precaution to protect our users’ information. When users submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline. When our registration/order form asks users to enter sensitive information (such as credit card number and/or contact information), that information is encrypted and is protected with 128 bit encryption over an SSL connection. While on a secure page, such as our shopping card checkout forms, the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer is displayed as locked. Furthermore when accessing content and/or uploading documents to the Student Portal website, you are protected through an SSL (HTTPS) connection.
The Beauty Academy is bound by the Data Protection Act and will comply with its requirements at all times. Any details you give will remain completely confidential. All data gathered will be processed using our secure customer relations management cloud-based software system which is supplied by the third party provider. We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure and in order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we use only an online software system that has security management processes in place which are compliant with the requirements of ISO 27001.
An email will be sent to you to provide access to the Student Portal website initially (if relevant to your course booking), at which time you will be able to set your own login password and confirm the contact details held about you. Having gained access to the Student Portal website, we would strongly recommend that you do not divulge your username and password to anyone. Please ensure that others cannot access any of your personal data especially when using a shared or public access computer terminal or open connection to the internet.

I had Acrylic Nail Extention course on Sunday 15 January with Noreen in Reading – Shinfield. It was fantastic day, I learn lots and Noreen was brilliant.
