Acrylic Nail Extensions Training Course
Acrylic Nail Extensions are one of the most popular nail enhancements systems in the UK, using a combination of powder and liquid monomer. You’ll learn the ‘tip & overlay’ method of nail extensions on this course, applying an ABS plastic tip to the natural nail & applying acrylic over this to create a strong, durable nail extension.
You will learn the following on this course, through pre-course reading (e-Manual) and hands-on practical training at the centre:
- Health & Safety around nail treatments.
- Anatomy & physiology of the skin & nails.
- Consultation procedure & contra-indications to acrylic nails.
- Basic preparation of natural nails for acrylic extensions.
- Application & blending of ABS plastic false tips.
- Application of acrylic over the tips to create a strong nail extension.
- Maintenance & removal for acrylic nails.

This course was brilliant. I was nervous going in as had little to no experience whatsoever but was helped so much and made to feel very welcome. I had Lorraine as my tutor and she was very helpful and I hope to have courses with her in the future as she was an amazing and very knowledge-full tutor with lots of experience. I thoroughly enjoyed my time on the Beauty Academy course. It’s was highly informative and taught with great expertise from Karen. Karen as a tutor was unbelievably friendly, caring and attended to everyone’s needs. She made sure she had valuable time with everyone and gave out loads of praise (which is lovely as someone who like reassurance).
I left knowing I’ve gain a lot of knowledge that I can practice and also perform in person. I felt proud of what I had achieved and it was all thanks to Karen at the Beauty Academy.
I highly highly recommend to anyone.
