Gel Polish is one of the most popular nail treatments in the UK. Used to provide long-lasting, 14 day chip-free polish on natural nails. Available in a wide range of gel polish colours, it can be applied to fingers and toes, as well as used over nail extensions.
You will learn the following on this course, through pre-course reading (e-Manual) and hands-on practical training at the centre:
- Health & Safety around nail treatments.
- Anatomy & physiology of the skin & nails.
- Consultation procedure & contra-indications to gel polish.
- To prepare the natural nails for gel polish (dry manicure).
- Application of block colour gel polish on fingers & toes.
- Incorporating nail glitter / rhinestone on ring finger.
- Removal of gel polish.

Jess is very friendly and makes you feel at ease with the learning . She is very informative and gives you all the information and knowledge that she can to help you start up your own business . I have learned a lot from Jess and I would be happy to take any further courses with her.

Last week I completed an exceptional Gel Nail Polish training course instructed by the amazing trainer Katy.
Katy left no stone unturned during the course, ensuring we gained a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter. We began by delving into the important aspects of health and safety around nail treatments. Katy’s emphasis on maintaining a safe and hygienic environment was invaluable, ensuring both our clients’ and our own well-being.
Next up was the intriguing exploration of the anatomy and physiology of the skin and nails. Katy’s expertise in this area was evident, and she effortlessly conveyed the knowledge to us in an engaging and approachable manner.
One of the highlights of the course was the consultation procedure. Katy skillfully taught us how to conduct thorough consultations and effectively communicate with our clients. We gained insights into their preferences and expectations, ensuring we could deliver customised gel polish treatments tailored to their needs. We were also instructed on identifying crucial contra-indications specific to gel polish, enabling us to offer safe and suitable treatments at all times.
The importance of preparing the natural nails for gel polish application was not overlooked. Katy adeptly guided us through the process of a dry manicure, equipping us with the skills to ensure a flawless and long-lasting result. Attention to detail was essential, and Katy provided valuable tips and techniques to achieve outstanding outcomes.
I really enjoyed the application of block gel gel polish on both fingers and toes. Katy’s expertise shone through as she demonstrated the precise techniques, allowing us to practise and refine our skills. Katy even shared her knowledge on incorporating nail glitter and rhinestones, bringing that extra touch of glamour to our nail creations.
Of course, proper removal techniques are just as important as application, and Katy made sure we were adept in handling the removal of gel polish. A gentle and careful approach was emphasised, ensuring our clients’ nails remain healthy and undamaged throughout the process.
To sum it up, Katy’s Gel Nail Polish training course was nothing short of phenomenal. I left with an abundance of knowledge and practical skills that have elevated my nail treatments to new heights. If you’re looking to excel in the world of gel polish, I wholeheartedly recommend this course.

I did luxury manicure and pedicure, gel
Polish, gel extensions and acrylic extensions, in that order. For anyone who is new to nails I would recommend that order as it helps with your understanding as you progress. I can honestly say that I have really enjoyed every part of the courses. There is a lot to learn but it’s been a really enjoyable experience.
