Each course in this package is structured over one day and runs from 10am – 4pm. We ask students to arrive at 9.45am to ensure a prompt start. You will learn the theory of the treatment firstly, and spend the majority of the day practising your practical skills, with a short break for lunch.

We do not include any kits within our training courses, however we provide all products and tools required to complete the practical training on the day, at the training centre for you to use. We took this approach following student feedback so that students are not tied into specific kits or brands of products as part of their course fee, before they are trained and able to make an informed choice. Our training courses teach the generic treatment techniques and processes, they are not brand specific.

We recommend attending training where you will gain advice about different brands and suppliers to enable you to purchase products from your chosen supplier directly following your training. We do offer selected starter kits available to purchase through our website & supplied directly from the supplier to you by courier.

Waxing treatments are sought after all year round to achieve smooth, hair-free skin, with clients returning every 4-6 weeks; offering this treatment will give you a continual source of income (earning up to £50 per hour) particularly during the summer months when waxing treatments are the most in-demand.

You will learn to remove hair from the most common and delicate areas, including upper lip, chin, legs, basic bikini line and underarms, using a variety of methods. Wax depilation provides a quick and efficient way of clearing small and large areas of unwanted hair, whilst the use of hot/warm wax, the traditional procedure of hair removal, is similarly as efficient and relatively pain-free for your clients in comparison to other methods.

For advanced intimate waxing, you’ll be taught to use depilatory wax on the pubic/anal area as a method of hair removal. Intimate waxing services are in-demand all year round in both salons and therapists working from home or mobile. This service is extremely lucrative with clients returning every 3-4 weeks once regrowth appears, and your clients will want to return to the same therapist every time due to the intimate nature of the treatment. The course will teach you how to carry out both Brazilian and Hollywood waxing techniques, as well as the contraindications prior to giving this treatment.

At the end of these courses, you will be qualified in provide a full range of waxing treatments from home or mobile, once insurance has been obtained.

Our diploma courses are suitable for complete beginners and do not require any prior learning to be able to train with us; many of our students are not yet beauty trained and are looking to start up a business in the industry.  We welcome students of all abilities, whether you are looking to learn a new skill from scratch or currently working as a therapist and looking to refresh your knowledge of particular treatments.

Students work upon each other so no models are required for the training day (nb: exception is male students who will need to provide their own female model). All products and tools are provided for the training days at the centre when you attend. No kit is required to complete the training days, nor included in the course fee.

On the training days, you only need to bring a hand and bath towel for your personal use, completed enrolment form and cold food for your lunch (e.g. sandwich/salad).

Note: when selecting your course dates, you MUST choose a date for your Waxing Course that falls before your Advanced Waxing Course to ensure you learn the basic waxing skills before progressing to advanced techniques.

When you have successfully completed your training course(s), you will receive a diploma certificate issued by The Beauty Academy accredited by ABT. This not only demonstrates your commitment to the training, but also allows you to obtain Public Liability Insurance so you can start offering treatments to paying clients from home and/or mobile.

Once you have completed your practical training day with us, there is no additional work to be completed. Your diploma certificate will be sent to you within 1-2 working days and you can then begin working from home and/or mobile, once insurance has been obtained.
