Our Acrylic Nail Extensions Course will teach you the acrylic nail extension process to begin offering this treatment to your clients, being one of the most popular nail-enhancement services currently requested in both salons and from nail technicians. This course will take you through the extension procedure, blending techniques and maintenance procedure, including aftercare advice.

Course structure
This course is structured over one day and runs from 10am – 4pm. We ask students to arrive at 9.45am to ensure a prompt start. You will learn the theory of the treatment firstly, and spend the majority of the day practising your practical skills, with a short break for lunch. You will practice your treatments using a professional nail trainer (mannequin) hand to allow you the maximum time and opportunity during the course to acquire and demonstrate your practical skills.
Starter Kits
We do not include any kits within our training courses, however we provide all products and tools required to complete the practical training on the day, at the training centre for you to use. We took this approach following student feedback so that students are not tied into specific kits or brands of products as part of their course fee, before they are trained and able to make an informed choice. Our training courses teach the generic treatment techniques and processes, they are not brand specific.
We recommend attending training where you will gain advice about different brands and suppliers to enable you to purchase products from your chosen supplier directly following your training. We do offer selected starter kits available to purchase through our website & supplied directly from the supplier to you by courier.

Acrylic nail extensions uses a two-component system with liquid and powder, making it the strongest, most versatile nail enhancement. They are easy to shape to your client’s desired style and they can dramatically enhance the look of natural nails. The acrylic nail extension system is the most popular in the UK, holding about 50% of the nail market, making it an extremely profitable skill to learn. Our one-day diploma course will teach you all you need to know to begin offering this treatment to your clients.
Course entry requirements
Our diploma courses are suitable for complete beginners and do not require any prior learning to be able to train with us; many of our students are not yet beauty trained and are looking to start up a business in the industry. However, we recommend students consider completing the Manicure & Pedicure training course prior to or alongside training within Nail Extensions (unless already completed equivalent training elsewhere) as some insurers require you to have training within working upon natural nails in order to fully cover you to provide nail extension treatments.
You will work on a professional nail trainer hand on your training day so no models are required. All products and tools are provided for the training day at the centre when you attend. No kit is required to complete the training day, nor included in the course fee.
On the training day, you only need to bring a hand towel for your personal use, completed enrolment form and cold food for your lunch (e.g. sandwich/salad). Tea & coffee are provided on the training day.

What qualification will you receive?
When you have successfully completed your training course(s), you will receive a diploma certificate issued by The Beauty Academy and accredited by ABT. This not only demonstrates your commitment to the training, but also allows you to obtain Public Liability insurance so you can start offering treatments to paying clients from home or mobile.
Additional work required to complete this qualification
Once you have completed your practical training day with us, there is no additional work to be completed. Your diploma certificate will be sent to you within 1-2 working days and you can then begin working from home and/or mobile, once insurance has been obtained.

I was a bit hesitant at first as I didn’t really know what to expect as I have never attended a beauty course prior to this so was worried I wouldn’t be able to pick it up or not be as good as others. However I was not the only one who had never done acrylics before and everyone was super friendly! The academy was clean and well presented with a lovely lay out and the tutor I had (Rebekah) was amazing! She was friendly answered all questions and explained in detail whilst demonstrating on practical why she was doing things and really breaking it down to give everyone a full breakdown of the steps. I completed the acrylic nails course at Manchester with Karen and really enjoyed the course! Learnt everything from prepping the nail, to applying and filing the tip to the nail and then applying the acrylic and filing down! Ready to practice at home to perfect the skills I learnt and about to book the Highly Defined Brows course here too 🙂

This was a fab course with lots of information packed into it. Claire, the tutor, was so encouraging and supportive and clearly had great knowledge and experience of the topic. There was a good mix of practical and theoretical work and plenty of time for questions. Overall a very positive experience, and I left looking forward to coming back for my next training course.
