Qualification: Following your training course you will receive The Beauty Academy Diploma - this will enable you to obtain public liability insurance. You will also receive your NVQ Level 2 in Waxing after assessment and portfolio submission.

Train for your NVQ in Waxing in just two weeks and gain employment in a salon.

Waxing is probably one of the most popular salon treatments.  To gain employment it is essential that you are trained to a high standard and able to use all the main waxing systems available.  During your training you will learn the traditional pot and spatula method, roller waxing, PhD waxing and hot wax techniques.

You will work with professional product ranges such as Berins hot wax and the PhD system.

Theory sessions will cover:-

• Health and safety
• Contra-indications to the waxing treatment
• Contra-actions to the treatment
• Sterilisation and sanitisation of equipment
• Anatomy and physiology

Practical sessions will cover:-

• Preparation of the client and the treatment area
• Half and full leg waxing
• Underarm waxing
• Bikini waxing
• Facial waxing - chin, upper lip and brows
• Hot wax, warm wax, sugar wax and roller wax techniques
