Qualification: Following your training course you will receive The Beauty Academy Diploma - this will enable you to obtain public liability insurance. You will also receive your NVQ Level 2 in Make-Up after assessment and portfolio submission.

Train for your NVQ in Make-Up in just two weeks and gain employment in a salon.

This course will cover basic make-up (day and special occasion) application and the more advanced bridal make-up techniques.  You will learn about different face shapes and how to use corrective make-up techniques to create outstanding effects.  The application of strip and flare lashes will also be part of this course which will enable you to create maximum emphasis to the eyes.

You will work with professional products ranges such as MAC, Bobbi Brown and Illamasqua and you will also experience mineral make-up application.

Theory sessions will cover:-

• Health and safety
• Contra-indications to the make-up treatment
• Sterilisation and sanitisation of equipment
• Tools of the trade
• Anatomy and physiology

Practical sessions will cover:-

• Skin cleansing
• Day make-up application
• Special occasion make-up application
• Bridal make-up - you will learn how to create the flawless finish
• Patch testing
• Application of strip and flare lashes
