Module One: £25 The compulsory first module of all of our correspondence courses covers essential information regarding health, safety and hygiene in the salon environment. You need only purchase and complete Module One once as the safety and hygiene guidelines are designed to apply to all procedures in the beauty industry.
Module Two: £50 To perform a safe and professional treatment, it is important to have a working knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the hand and foot area. In this module we will examine the structure and function of the skin and the nails, as well as thinking about the skeletal and muscular systems relevant to the manicure and pedicure treatment. The module will also include essential information regarding contagious and non-contagious skin disorders and how to recognise them.
Module Three: £50 In this module we will introduce the equipment, implements and products necessary to complete the manicure and pedicure treatment; an understanding of the materials used in the procedures will enable you to modify and develop your techniques depending upon your different nail types and shapes. Module Three will furthermore include information regarding client consultation and treatment planning.
The basic manicure and pedicure routine and technique are covered in this module alongside information regarding specialist treatments which you might incorporate into your procedure, eg. paraffin wax and hot oil treatments.
